Jessica Chastain's endless research on Osama for new film

Press Trust of India London

The 35-year-old actress read several books to get to know about the Al-Qaeda founder in detail, reported Contactmusic.

"We did extensive research. Books upon books. I read Lawrence Wright's 'The Looming Towers', I read Michael Scheuer's book on Osama bin Laden. I got to know my subject inside out," she said.

The recently released "Zero Dark Thirty," a film that tells the story of decade-long hunt for Bin Laden, has been directed by Oscar winner director Kathryn Bigelow, who won the award for "The Hurt Locker".

Chastain plays the role of CIA agent Maya, based on a real person who played a key part in tracking the Al-Qaeda chief, killed in a US operation in Pakistan in 2011.

Not only that, "The Help" actress also talked to several people in the security establishment while preparing for her role.

"I did talk to a lot of people but I don't really want to specify to whom I spoke," she added.
