Jharkhand to ask people living abroad to return: CM

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said his government would soon ask people from the state living overseas to return and create jobs for them.

"We will call back Jharkhandi youths living outside the country through advertisements soon and the government will create jobs for them," Das said at a police programme here.

The government's priority is to provide transparent and accountable governance, he said and sought the people's suggestions.

The best suggestion would not only be implemented but the person concerned would be awarded Rs 21,000.

Emphasising on the need for quality education in the state, Das said the government was planning to set up a residential school in Ranchi for poor children along the lines of private schools with all facilities.
 

Assuring that there will be no political interference in the working of the police, the chief minister asked the force not to fear political parties and discharge their responsibilities fearlessly.

He also appreciated the loyalty of the policemen and asked them to provide corruption-free administration.

The government would not tolerate corruption at any cost and was committed to maintain peace and tranquillity in the state, Das said.

He inaugurated residential flats constructed by Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation (JPHC) for the force personnel at Golmuri Police Line here.

He also laid the foundation of 9 new police station buildings as well as new residential flats in Bokaro.

He also announced setting up of a residential school for children of police personnel at Ranchi.
