JK govt orders major reshuffle in administration

The Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered a major reshuffle in the civil administration to ensure smooth functioning of various departments and organisations for assured public service delivery.

The transferred officers include few deputy commissioners, director Tourism Kashmir and director Estates.

"With a view to ensuring smooth functioning of various Departments/Organisations for assured public service delivery, fill up critical positions, posting of such officers as are awaiting orders of adjustment and to meet other administrative exigencies, certain changes in the administration have become imperative," an order issued by the government said.

"Owais Ahmed, IAS (JK: 2014), Additional Secretary to the Government, Finance Department, under orders of transfer as Director, Tribal Affairs, J-K, is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, vice Showkat Aijaz Bhat, KAS, who is transferred and posted as Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, vice Tariq Hussain Ganai," the order said.

 

Ganai has been transferred and posted as Director, Estates, while Tasaduq Jeelani, KAS, Director, Estates, has been transferred and posted as Director, Tourism, Kashmir, relieving Mehmood Ahmad Shah, KAS, Joint Director, Tourism, Kashmir of the additional charge of the post, it said.

Shah shall await further orders of adjustment in the General Administration Department, the order said.

A principal secretary, a commissioner secretary and other officers have also been transferred.
