Private steel major Tata Steel today paid homage to industrialist Jehangir Ratanji Dadabhai Tata on the occasion of his 114th birth anniversary here.
Various events were organized to commemorate the day, a Tata Steel release said.
As a mark of tribute, a short film on the Bharat Ratna awardee's life, his passion for flying and his philosophy of an industrialist was screened at Sonari Airport here by Tata Steel's Aviation department.
The special program also included an Aero-modeling show and static display of aircraft.
The Chief Guest on the occasion, Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice President, Corporate Services, Tata Steel paid homage to the legend.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhaskaran said, "JRD Tata made a huge difference to India. He was somebody who stood by his values. The success of the Tata Group is because of him.
