Kalyan: Mob ransacks private hospital; beat up scribe

An irate mob today allegedly ransacked a private hospital in Kalyan following the death of a 22-year-old man, police said.

Rohit Bhoir from Warap was admitted to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack on Sunday, a senior police official said.

Warap died at the hospital today. Following his demise, his relatives ransacked the hospital, the official said, adding a case would be registered at the MFC police station.

Meanwhile, Bhoir's kin also allegedly thrashed a local scribe, who had gone to cover the incident, the official said.
