The Kasaragod-Byndoor train, introduced for convenience of pilgrims visiting Mookambika temple at Kollur, has been temporarily cancelled with effect from yesterday due to lack of passenger support.
The train had not been patronised well by passengers since its introduction, a railway release said.
The train used tostart from Kasaragod in the morning and return from Byndoor(Mookambika Road) in the evening.

It did not get adequate passenger response evenafter it was extended to Kannur a year back on an experimental basis for a short period.
The temporary cancellation would also help in undertaking maintenance works, the release said.
