Kunal aide arrested on Saradha scam

A senior executive of the tainted Saradha Group, considered a close aide of suspended Trinamool Congress MP Kunal Ghosh, was today arrested in connection with the ponzi scam.

"We have arrested Somnath Dutta. He was the Vice-President of Saradha's media wing," Deputy Commissioner (Detective Department) Arnab Ghosh told PTI.

Dutta is arrested from his Salt Lake residence on the very day when Kunal Ghosh, the former CEO of Saradha Group's media wing, was suspended by Trinamool Congress for anti-party activities.

Police had summoned Ghosh, thrice for questioning in connection with the chit fund scam.
