Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) today said it has bagged an order from the Department Post for supply of post boxes to Uttarakhand.
"Department of post, Uttarakhand circle Dehradun has placed an order for the supply of letter boxes," KVIC said in a statement.
This is for the first time that the commission has got such order, it said.

"359 post boxes costing Rs 1,667 per piece will be supplied by the KVIC in a months time," KVIC Chairman V K Saxena said.
Along with this, he said, the department has placed an order for the supply of 225 cash chests.
The order will generate 30,280 extra man hours of employment, resulting in extra earnings to Khadi artisans in rural areas, he added.
