Labourer killed in shell explosion

A labourer was killed and four others were injured when a shell exploded accidentally in Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today.

Arjun Singh was killed when the live shell exploded yesterday. Singh along with four others was collecting scrap from an army firing range in Leh, 470 km from here, when the mishap took place.

Singh died on the spot while the four injured were shifted to a hospital.

All the four hailed from Jharkhand.
