Lead falls by 0.1% on muted demand, overseas trends
Traders trimmed their positions amid weak domestic demand, affecting prices

Amid weak domestic demand and bearish global trend, lead prices were down by 0.13% to Rs 114.85 per kg in futures trading today as traders trimmed their positions.
In futures trade at the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in May eased by 15 paise or 0.13% to Rs 114.85 per kg in a business turnover of five lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in April shed 10 paise or 0.09% to Rs 114.15 per kg in 393 lots.
Market analysts said the fall in lead futures was due to sluggish demand from battery-makers and other consuming industries at domestic spot markets, and a weak trend in the base metals at the London Metal Exchange (LME).
At the LME, lead fell by more than 0.9%.
