Press Trust of India New Delhi
Lead prices traded lower by 0.53 per cent to Rs 158.25 per kg in futures trading today as speculators cut down bets amid easing demand in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in November declined by 85 paise, or 0.53 per cent to Rs 158.25 per kg in business turnover of 791 lots.

Likewise, the metal for delivery in December shed 75 paise, or 0.47 per cent to Rs 158.95 per kg in 35 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by participants owing to slackened demand from battery-makers in the domestic spot market, mainly led to decline in lead prices at futures trade.
