A 60-year-old farmer died after lightning struck him today evening in Medak district, a police official said.
The Dubbak police sub-inspector said that the farmer was working in his farm in Peddagummadpally village, when it began raining.
The farmer took shelter under a nearby tree, when a bolt of lightning struck him, killing him on the spot, the police official said.
The Dubbak police has registered a case, the police official said.
