Three persons died at two different places in Nawada district of Bihar this evening after being struck by lightning. Three others were injured in the incidents.
Nawada Block Development Officer (BDO) Nisar Ahmad said lightning struck at the house of one Gaya Mistri (55) killing him and his son Vinod (35) at Pansalla village. Gaya's three grandchildren suffered burn injuries in the incident. The injured have been admitted in a nearby hospital.
The BDO said the incident happened in the evening while it was raining heavily.
In another incident, one person died at Sri Rampur village under Hisua police station of the district while he was roaming around in the rains. Police officials said the deceased is yet to be identified.
