Linseedoil firmed up further in an otherwise lacklustre oils and oilseeds wholesale market today following on sustained demand from paint and allied industries.
In the edible segment, refined palmolein fell owing to weak retail demand.
Meanwhile, groundnutoil, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial held steady in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
In non-edible segment, linseedoil rose by Rs 20 per 10 kg to Rs 930 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 910. Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial closed unchanged at Rs 3,275 per 100 kg and Rs 685 per 10 kg, respectively.
Moving to edible segment, refined palmolein dropped by Rs 8 per 10 kg to Rs 585 from overnight close of Rs 593. Groundnut oil was unaltered at Rs 1,150 per 10 kg.
