Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today wished the Muslim community on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
He also participated in the Lord Jagganath Rath Yatra near Moti Masjid area here.
"After wishing Muslims and their religious heads, when Chouhan was returning to his residence, he spotted Lord Jagannath Yatra passing from Moti Masjid area and soon he asked his cavalcade to stop and took part in the yatra," an official of Public Relation Department said.
Like every year, Chouhan visited Idgah and residence of Shahar Qazi, Mushtaq Ali Nadvi and Bohra community's head, Aamil Sahab to wish them on the occasion of Eid festival.
The Madhya Pradesh CM also showered rose petals on the Muslim devotees on the occasion.
Reports of Eid being celebrated with traditional fervour and gaiety also received from various parts of the state including Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior.
Madhya Pradesh Governor, Ram Naresh Yadav and Public Relations Minister, Rajendra Shukla among others also wished people on this occasion.
