Malhotra appointed Chairman of Campaign Committee

Senior BJP leader Vijay Kumar Malhotra was today appointed as the Chairman of the BJP's Lok Sabha Election Management and Campaign Committee.

Delhi BJP chief Harsh Vardhan, who made the announcement, also said that he will announce the other important election committees soon.

Malhotra, who was the founder member of Bharatiya Jansangh, has 45 years of experience of Parliamentary and political life. He had been elected a member of Lok Sabha, Rajya Sabha and Legislative Assembly several times.

He was appointed as the Chief Executive Councillor of Delhi in the year 1967. At that time, this position was equivalent to the post of Chief Minister.
