Mamata Banerjee greets Jaya for winning May 16 polls

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today greeted her Tamil Nadu counterpart J Jayalalithaa for winning the May 16 Assembly elections.

Banerjee, who herself led her party TMC to a massive win in the just-concluded Assembly polls, called up Jayalalithaa to greet her, an official release said.

Thanking Banerjee for her greetings, Jayalalithaa also wished her for Trinamool Congress' win in West Bengal, the release said.

Union Telecom Minister Ravishankar Prasad also spoke to Jayalalithaa over phone and extended his greetings for her party's win, the release added.
