Man arrested for kidnapping and raping minor

A man accused of kidnapping and raping a 14-year-old girl in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district was arrested today, police said.

The accused, Mohammad Yaseen Chauhan, was arrested on a complaint filed by the grandfather of the victim in Handwara area, a police spokesman said.

Acting on the complaint, the police conducted raids at many places in order to trace the accused involved in the crime, he added.
