A 70-year-old man sustained serious injuries on his neck and hands, after he was attacked by his son with a spade in Bhainsawa village of this district, the police said today.
"Two days ago, Jagdish attacked his father Ramdev Mishra with a spade following a dispute and fled the spot after locking the house. On gaining consciousness after two days, Ramdev asked the neighbours to rescue him," Superintendent of Police Sankalp Sharma said.
The neighbours informed the police, who broke open the door and admitted Ramdev to a district hospital, the officer said.
"Ramdev's condition is stated to be stable. A hunt is on to nab Jagdish," Sharma said.
