Man given life sentence for raping, killing minor girl

A court here sentenced a man to life imprisonment for raping and murdering a minor girl in 2008.

Special Judge Anil Kumar held Sudhakar Singh alias Chotu guilty of the crime and announced the sentence yesterday apart from slapping a fine of Rs 25,000 on him, joint director prosecution Rajendra Singh said.

The five-year-old girl was raped and later murdered in Paraspur area here in 2008.
