Man held for 'duping' youths after promising govt jobs

A man, who was on the run for the past two years, was today arrested for allegedly duping atleast 50 youths after promising them government jobs, police said.

The accused T. Rajesh, who belongs to Pedapadu village in West Godavari district, reportedly collected Rs 1.30 crore from the youths, a senior police official said.

He formerly worked with the Municipal Administration department, the officer said, adding Rajesh, was absconding since the past two years.

Police said cases were registered against Rajesh at various places and a probe was on.
