A 21-year-old woman was allegedly
bludgeoned to death by her husband over a family dispute in Munshi Purwa area here, police said today.
According to a complaint filed by the victim's family, Nisar hit their daughter, Shagufta, with a stone and battered her to death following an argument yesterday evening, they said.
Hearing their one-year-old daughter's screams, other family members and neighbours rushed there and found the victim's body, police said.
The victim's family claimed that the accused used to make regular demands for money from them.
Police have registered a case under the Dowry Act against the accused and his family and efforts are underway to nab him, they said.
