Man kills wife in Haridwar

A man allegedly killed his wife today with a sharp-edged weapon after a tiff with her at Luksar in Haridwar district.

50-year-old Snehlata Devi died on the spot after being hit in the head by her husband Punjab Singh with a sharp-edged weapon at Kuankheda village near Luksar in Haridwar district in the wee hours today, police said.

Singh attacked his wife in a fit of rage after an argument with her, they said. He was arrested later.
