Man shot dead in Mumbai

A 29-year-old man was gunned down

by three unknown assailants at Sewri here, police said today.

The victim, identied as Sushant Godekar, was shot at Reti Bunder area of Sewri late last night. He was rushed to hopsital where doctors declared him dead, they said.

As per the preliminary investigations, the victim was had various criminal cases pending against him, police said.

The motive behind the murder was not known yet, official said.

A case against unknown persons has been registered and probe into the murder was underway, police added.
