Man stabs father for drinking

A 45-year-old man was allegedly stabbed by his son over the former's drinking habit at Samoli village here, police said today.

The accused, Vikas, stabbed his father Ompal while he was drinking with his friend at their residence yesterday, they said.

The accused had repeatedly warned his father about his drinking habit, police said.

The injured victim was admitted to a hospital by Vikas, they said.

Efforts are on to trace the accused who is absconding, police added.
