Man taken into custody for raping 14-yr-old girl

A vegetable vendor was today taken into custody for allegedly raping and impregnating a 14-year-old girl employed by him, at L B Nagar here, police said.

"Yesuappa (around 50), who had employed the minor girl, allegedly had sexual intercourse with her a few months ago by threatening her," said Inspector P Kasi Reddy of L B Nagar Police Station.

The girl, who became pregnant, has been sent for medical examination and investigation is on, police said.
