The Bihar Police today arrested a Maoist area commander wanted in the blasting of railway tracks in the district from the Goh police station area of Aurangabad district.
Aurangabad Superintendent of Police (SP) Upendra Kumar Sharma said the arrested Maoist Siddharth Yadav alias Vikasji was wanted in the blasting of railway tracks on the night of July 22, in which the New Delhi-Bhubaneshwar Rajdhani Express had a close shave.
The pilot engine running ahead of the train derailed in the blast. Nobody was killed or injured in the incident.

"Yadav is the area commander of southern parts of Aurangabad and was wanted in several other cases as well. A pistol and two cartridges have also been seized from him," said the SP.
Sharma also said the arrested Maoist became an area commander after his predecessor Kariman Yadav was nabbed by the police.
