Married woman beaten to death

A 26-year-old woman has been beaten to death allegedly by her in-laws in Lal Bagh locality here over demands of dowry, police said today.

The victim's father-in-law Rajkumar has been taken into custody while her husband Sudhir Kumar is missing, they said.

As per the complaint filed by the victim's brother, Komal was mercilessly beaten to death by her in-laws yesterday.

He alleged that his sister was being harassed for want of dowry.

The body has been sent for postmortem, police said.

Komal and Sudhir got married last year.
