A married woman, working as manual labourer, was allegedly gang-raped by four persons in Banipark area here.
The 30-year-old woman, a mother of five, was raped last night by the four men.
The woman alleged in her complaint to police that last night a person known to her called on phone claiming that her husband had met with an accident.
The man, later, on pretext of taking her to the spot of the accident, took her to a deserted spot on Benar Road where three others also joined him in the alleged sexual assault, Sadar area ACP Manoj Choudhary said.
A hunt to nab the accused has been launched, he said.
