Maruti launches promotion drive in Gujarat to push sales

Maruti Suzuki has launched a fortnight-long campaign to promote its recently-launched Celerio model in Gujarat aimed at increasing its sales during the festive season.

"This is the first time that Maruti Suzuki has organised such a market specific campaign to connect with the customer at a local level in Gujarat," Maruti Suzuki's Business Head for Western Region Anand Prakash was quoted as saying in a press release issued by the company here today.

"The campaign began today in four cities in the state such as Rajkot, Vadodara, Surat and Ahmedabad," the release said, adding that it will conclude on September 22.
 

The Celerio, which was launched in 2014, has already crossed the one lakh sales milestone, it said.

It is the first car to introduce auto gear shift transmission technology in India, the document claimed.
