Three masked men allgedly looted Rs 5.50 lakh from a builder's here, police said today.
According to police, on Thursday, three masked men entered the office of Ozone Builders in sector 11 here, after beating the guard of the company, Ramkishan, who tried to stop them.
The trio then broke the drawer in which the cash was kept and took away the amount with them, they said.
Prima facie it appears that some insider is involved in the loot as the accused knew where the amount was kept, said Investigating Officer Ram Avtar Singh.
A case has been registered under section 458 (house-breaking by night after preparation for hurt) and 380 (theft) of IPC and a manhunt is on to nab the culprits, he said.
