Mehbooba Mufti condemns killing of policemen in Sophian

Ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti today condemned the killing of three unarmed policemen and injuring of another in two militant attacks in Kashmir.

Mehbooba said violence in any form was unacceptable, and there was no place for innocent killings in a civilised society.

"No religion allows such dastardly acts of violence which lead to spilling of innocent blood and bring enormous tragedies to the families of the victims," she said in a statement.

The PDP President also condemned the attack on a civilian in Tral area.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved families, she prayed for the everlasting peace of the departed souls. She also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
