Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices were up 0.52 per cent to Rs 847 per kg in futures trade today as participants built up fresh positions, driven by pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in August rose by Rs 4.40 or 0.52 per cent to Rs 847 per kg in business turnover of 11 lots.

On similar lines, the oil for delivery in July contracts moved up by Rs 4.20 or 0.50 per cent to Rs 837 per kg in 98 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions created by traders due to pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot markets against restricted supplies from Chandausi influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
