Mentha oil up 0.46% on higher demand

Restricted arrivals from producing regions support uptrend

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices edged higher by 0.46 per cent to Rs 759.90 per kg in futures trade today largely supported by rising demand against restricted arrivals in the physical markets from producing regions.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July rose by Rs 3.50, or 0.46 per cent to Rs 759.90 per kg in business turnover of 372 lots.

The June contract traded higher by Rs 3.30, or 0.45 per cent to Rs 741.20 per kg in 86 lots.

Analysts said apart from pick up in demand from consuming industries in the spot market, restricted arrivals from Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh influenced mentha oil prices at futures trade.
