Drug firm Merck today reported a 25 per cent rise in standalone net profit to Rs 18.20 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2016.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 14.56 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, Merck Ltd said in a filing to BSE.
Standalone total income from operations rose to Rs 251.54 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 237.48 crore for the same period year ago.

In a separate filing to BSE, Merck Ltd said its board has recommended a dividend of Rs 11 per equity share of Rs 10 each for the year ended December 31, 2016.
Shares of Merck Ltd today closed at Rs 1,092.65 per scrip on BSE, up 0.45 per cent from its previous close.
