A middle-aged couple was allegedly strangulated to death at Gopi village under Akrabad police station area in Aligarh district, police said today.
Charan Singh (45) and his wife Vimlesh (43) were sleeping in a makeshift room in their agriculture field when some unidentified persons strangulated them to death last night using a rope, police said.
The assailants fled after locking their bodies in the room, police said, adding that a case has been registered and bodies sent for post-mortem.
