Militants fire at residence of Ex-MLA

Suspected militants fired at the residence of a former legislator of ruling PDP in Pulwama district of south Kashmir this evening, but there was no loss reported in the attack, police said.

"Some unknown militants fired upon the residence of ex- MLA Syed Bashir at Rajpora in Pulwama," a police official said.

He said a security guard posted at the residence of the former legislator, belonging to the ruling PDP, retaliated, forcing the militants to flee.

There was no loss of life on the either side, the official said.
