A seven-year-old boy was killed in a freak accident after he was entangled in a bullock-powered cane mill at Bungtlang village in central Mizoram's Serchhip district today.
The police said that Lalsangluaia, out of curiosity, was too close to the mill which pulled his hand towards the spinning machine crushing his head.
The boy, who completed his final school examinations, spent two nights in the family sugar-cane farm, about eight kilometres from Bungtlang village.
