Minor girl raped by Class X student in UP

A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a minor at a place under Jivanabad police station here, police said today.

The incident took place on Friday when the victim was playing outside her home. The 15-year-old accused, a resident of same village and a class X student, took the girl to a secluded place and raped her, police said, adding he absconded thereafter.

When the girl did not return home, her family members started searching for her and found her unconscious at the spot, they said.

The girl narrated her ordeal to her family after which they lodged a complaint yesterday.
 

An FIR has been lodged in the matter and medical examination of the victim was conducted, police said, adding the report is awaited.

No arrest has been in this connection yet, they added.
