A seven-year-old boy was run over by a vehicle while he was crossing road in Kahajuri area here.
Anuj was crossing Gauriganj-Pratapgarh road when he met with the accident, police said.
Local villagers blocked the traffic demanding stern action against the driver of the vehicle.
Later, the traffic was resumed after senior district officials reached the spot and assured of stern action in the case, police said.
