Moderate tremors recorded in western Maharashtra, J and K

A low-intensity earthquake, with its epicentre in the Koyna region of western Maharashtra, about 135 km from here, was recorded last night, Met office said today.

It was measured 4.0 on the Richter scale.

The tremors were recorded at 10.10 pm last night.

While another quake, measuring 4.5 on the Richter scale with its epicentre in Kishtwar area of Jammu and Kashmir, was recorded by Pune Meteorological Office at 11.45 last night.
