MP: death for man who raped and murdered 10-year-old girl

A local court here today awarded death sentence to a man charged with raping and killing a 10-year-old girl.

Terming the crime as "rarest of rare", the Special Judge, R K S Gautam awarded capital punishment to Arvind Thakur, the accused, after convicting him for the rape and murder of his wife's niece.

The incident had taken place on February 16.
