A video showing what seems like footwear flung close to Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan while he was addressing a public gathering here has gone viral.
Chouhan was addressing a crowd at Puja Park Monday as part of his "Jan Ashirwad Yatra" when the incident happened and a senior police official said that it was being probed.
"We have come across the video but it is blurred," the official said.
Meanwhile, three people were also arrested here for shouting slogans and showing black flags to Chouhan while he was addressing the meeting.
"We have arrested Pramod Singh, Mirtunjai Mishra and Sanjay Mishra of the local Arakshan Virodhi Manch, an anti quota organisation, for sloganeering, misbehaving with public servants and disturbing peace at the public meeting. Black flags have also been recovered," additional superintendent of police SK Sharma told PTI.
The three have been charged under sections 353 (use of criminal force to deter public servant to perform duties), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharging duties), 294 (reciting obscene songs) and 34 (criminal conspiracy) of the IPC, the additional SP said.
