He has issued a directive that madrassas should hoist the national flag and merge the "Paigam-e-Mohabbat" rallies taken out by various organisations on August 15, Uddin said.

If no such rallies are planned, then madrassas should take out their own Paigam-e-Mohabbat processions in their respective areas, he said.

In Bhopal, the processions would be called "Paigam-e-Aman" (message of peace) as another organisation has named its rally 'Paigam-e-Mohabbhat', he added.

Madrassas have also been asked to hold cultural programmes that day and send videos of the events which the MPMB will upload on its website, the said.

Such functions are being organised by madrassas affiliated to the board for the past three years, he added.
