Mustafa Kamal flays death penalty for Afzal Guru

"Afzal Guru was not present at the site of the crime. How can you punish him? The legal opinion is that only a direct evidence can send a man to the gallows not indirect evidence", he said.

"In case of Afzal Guru, he has been convicted based on indirect evidence that he provided shelter to the militants" he said.
