My hubby would never lay a hand on me: Mel B

Pop star Melanie Brown has finally broken her silence to blast rumours suggesting her husband Stephen Belafonte has been physically abusing her.

The 39-year-old former Spice Girls star hit headlines earlier this month, when she was admitted to a medical centre for treatment for a "serious" ailment, reported People magazine.

"I'm very good was very polly but much better now and for the record my hubby never would lay a hand on me sorry took so long but any response fuels rumours #lovemyfamily #lovemyfans," she posted on Instagram.

On Christmas Day, Mel B also posted a shot that showed her and her kids with Belafonte, 39.
 

"Have a merry Christmas! #familytime #funday" she had captioned the photo.

Mel B has been married to Belafonte since 2007.
