My LA home is my 'sanctuary': Ellen DeGeneres

Funnywoman Ellen DeGeneres says the Los Angeles home she shares with her partner Portia de Rossi is her "sanctuary".

The 58-year-old talk show host enjoys taking time away from the spotlight with Portia at their home in California, reported Female First.

"That's our sanctuary. When we're there, we hike a lot and she has horses that she rides...," Ellen said.

"Portia and I have this joke that if we're lying in bed and quiet for a little while, I'll say, 'What are you thinking about?' And she says, 'Horses.' And she says, 'What are you thinking about?' And I go, 'Houses.' Literally, any time of day, horses and houses.
