Elaborating more on the manifesto, NCP state general secretary, Constantine N Thma said, "If voted to power, the party would set up an independent vigilance commission to monitor implementation of government funded projects."
Thma said, "The party will also work out guidelines for fund utilisation of the MLA local development scheme with special emphasis to underdeveloped areas."
Highlighting another priority area, he said the NCP would protect the environment by introducing scientific coal mining in the state as the present system had been badly affecting the environment.
NCP has also pledged to make efforts for a 10 per cent reservation in central government jobs for the people not only in Meghalaya but the entire North Eastern region.
