Two Indians are among five people arrested by Nepal police today for allegedly trying to smuggle 172 kg marijuana into India by boat.
Umesh Sah and Rabindra Yadav, who hail from Supaul in Bihar, landed in the police net along with three Nepali nationals from Saptakoshi river with carrying 172 kg marijuana, a psychoactive drug, Himalayan Times reported.
Police said they were about to smuggle the marijuana to India on a boat through the river when a police team deployed by District Police Office Saptari caught them, said DSP Kedar Dhakal.
