Haryana Environment Minister Captain Abhimanyu today said a new plan would be launched to protect the Aravalli Hills range which would preserve the flora and fauna in the area.
Speaking at a seminar 'Aravalli-Past, Present and Future' organized on the occasion of World Environment Day, he hinted at a master plan to save vegetation and wildlife at the hills range, an official release said.
Abhimanyu said Aravalli helps in recharging underground water reserves, saving sweet water and preventing the area from becoming a desert.

He also said the biodiversity park would be developed as the best park in Gurgaon and added that Aravalli Hills range would work as the 'green lungs' for Gurgaon.
Later, speaking at a state-level function organized by the Haryana State Pollution Control Board at Biodiversity Park here, Abhimanyu took the pledge to find ways to save the hill range.
